Cathie Wood's Ark Invest just put out its much awaited 2025 price target on Tesla stock. And it's a bold one for this S&P 500 member: $3,000 a share by 2025.
If Ark is right, that means there's still nearly 360% in potential upside in Tesla (TSLA) stock from Friday's close of 654.87. A gain that massive would make Tesla worth upwards of $2.9 trillion — more than any S&P 500 company is worth now, says an Investor's Business Daily analysis of data from S&P Global Market Intelligence and MarketSmith. Apple (AAPL) is currently the most valuable S&P 500 company at $2.01 trillion.
